Working with ADHD clients
I decided to specialize in ADHD after years of seeing the impact ADHD has in the lives of my clients, as well as people in my personal circles. I wanted to learn more, so I can be a more effective therapist and support for those I know with ADHD. Part of this journey was becoming an ADHD-Certified Clinical Services Provider.
This certification requires additional training in the field of ADHD. ADHD-CCSPs are responsible for staying updated on current research and treatment, and require continual education in the field to maintain certification.
As an ADHD-CCSP, I have experience and training in working with families, children, teens, couples, and adults with ADHD. I offer parental and family consultation on this issue.
I am well-versed in working with ADHD alongside other issues, such as anxiety, autism, and depression. I strive to support clients' strengths, while addressing the struggles and challenges of this disorder.
Providing an environment for neurodiversity is important to me during sessions. I encourage feedback from clients about their neurodivergent and sensory needs.
